Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
Restore Youthful Appearance to Your Eyes a Fresher, More
Blepharoplasty reduce excess skin, fatty bulges and drooping around the eyes, giving the face a more refreshed and youthful appearance.
With increasing age, the skin around the eyes may become loose and excess fat may become more prominent. This can result in:
- Drooping or hooded upper eyelids
- Under-eye bags or puffiness
- A tired or aged appearance
At Shubhashree Skin and Hair Clinic, we provide personalized evaluation and guidance for patients considering eyelid surgery, with emphasis on natural-looking results.

Types of Blepharoplasty
- Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty
This procedure mainly addresses excess skin and, when necessary, fat from the upper eyelid.
- Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty
Lower eyelid surgery is commonly performed to improve under-eye bags, puffiness, and excess skin.
- Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty
In selected patients, both upper and lower eyelids may be treated to achieve a more balanced improvement around the eyes.
How is Blepharoplasty Performed?
- The eyelids are carefully assessed and marked before surgery.
- Appropriate anesthesia is administered.
- Carefully placed incisions are made, usually within the natural creases of the eyelids.
- Excess skin and, when required, fat or muscle are addressed.
- The incisions are closed carefully to minimize visible scarring.
- Post-operative instructions are provided to support proper healing.
Recovery After Blepharoplasty
Mild swelling, bruising, tightness, and discomfort around the eyes are common after surgery. These usually improve gradually during the healing period.
- Avoid rubbing or putting pressure on the eyes
- Avoid strenuous exercise for the period recommended by the surgeon
